Playwrite create a wild and haunting wall of sound; animalistic and undeniably catchy. Through pounding drums, samples and swirling guitars come soaring lyrics and chants reminiscent of TV on the Radio, WHY? and Akron/Family. A fresh, dynamic and singular addition to the Melbourne live music scene, Playwrite are a band galvanised by their energy and musicianship.
After releasing their demo EP 'Black Cloud' at sold out shows at The Workers Club in June, they have continued to play all around Melbourne and have been lucky enough to share the stage with the likes of Wild Beasts (UK) as well as Leader Cheetah and Belles Will Ring among others.
